Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
bail information
my boyfriend was arrested in n.j on drug charges. its a federal case and he has a public defender. the initial bond hearing the judge denied bail and then said if we have property or cash he would reconsider bail. he didnt give a specific amount of cash. the public defender told us to come up with at least 10,000. why would the judge not give a specific amount that is needed and how much should we try to come up with?
