Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

A judge in family court made a decision based on what my ex-spouse gave in court...however i was never properly served with his motion...no proof of certified mail no stamped copy of the paper work and not even a date sent to me stating when the motion date was to be? I wrote to the Law court not directing to the Judge and stated how unfair this was and that he didnt take the proper forum like and officer of the court would.... i also staed that i feel the judge should put a judgement to vacate his motion or the other choice i have is going to file a appeal with appellate court in nj...i cant afford an attorney and have been doing this on my own for some time...can i get this thrown out on just not being served improperly? THANKS CRISTNA K.
