Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

i passed my citizenship interview on Jan 06 2010. on the paper that they gave me they checked the box that say (*)you passed the tests of English and US. history and government. then (*) uscis will send you a written decision about your case.. its been almost two months since i passed the test and they havent send me anything yet.. Today i went overthere with an infopass to see if i can get any information about my case, and they just told me that my case still pending, they havent take a desicion yet..when i filled out my n-400 the lawyer included my husband last name on it. i got married in the dominican republic and i change my passport when i was overthere. so my passport was the only document with my husband last name on it. at the time of my interview the officer asked me if i want to keep my husband last name or my parents last name, and i said okay im going to keep my parents last name. so like my husband last name was already included on the application they have to take that off from there. i want to know what it can be going on with my application, or how long it will take them to schedule me for my oath ceremony appointment.. should i be worry about it.

The USCIS has to make a decision on your application within 120 days of the examination. At this point, it has been less than two months. You just have to wait a little bit longer. If for some reason you don't get a decision within 120 days, you should contact an experienced immigration attorney to discuss your options.

The reason for this delay apparently is your last minute decision (during the interview) to change your last name.
