Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I would like to challenge the legality of my non compete. I am not planning on leaving, but to protect future ability to change jobs.

As an "at will" employee, can they fire me for doing so? Can they successfully deny me unemployment if they do fire me?

Is it harassment or wrongful termination if I can prove they fired me for challenging non compete?
