Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
My wife's aunt passed away with no will, her older brother (wife's uncle) became executor for the estate and told all the nieces and nephews that the estate would be seperated equally between them (like her 401K). Executor became ill and named remaining brother (my wife's father) the executor, instructing him to follow the same path. Uncle died and wife's father decided to keep the estate share to himself, while the remaning cousins will get their share. Do my wife and her siblings have a chance to legally acquire a share of the estate?

I am very interested to see what the paperwork says, what the documents filed by the uncle say. Then I may be able to answer your question. Very interesting.
