Reverse Discrimination
I recently quit my position. I was a primary back up to the receptionist, who is a woman of color. She abused company time (long breaks, personal calls, etc.). She did not perform her responsibilites and was basically, incompetent in her position. I notified our (mutual) supervisor on several occassions both informally and formally as well as in written correspondence. The situation never improved. It escalated. It ended in verbal threats to other employees about what she would do to me. What is important to note is that I have been in counseling with the company Employee Assistance Provider in an attempt to explore ways to rectify the situation. I have had numerous stomach and female problems that were diagnosed as stress related. Where in the world do I stand, legally?

If you can substantiate that these threats took place, that management knew about it, and did nothing to alleviate the problem you may be able to argue that you had a constructive termination, however it's a tough argument to make and a tough legal position to establish.
