Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York
Is it possible to gain temporary residency by marrying a person with green card ONLY, not citizen?

Marriage to a permanent resident wouldn't give any immediate "temporary residency" or any other lawful status in USA. A permanent resident can petition for his/her foreign souse. You will need to maintain your non-immigrant status, if any. Whenever a permanent resident spouse becomes a US citizen, then his/her spouse could be eligible to apply for permanent residency (provided they are eligible). In alternative, if he/she will not become a US citizen, then the waiting time for a priority date is about 4-5 years.
