Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Medical Bills-Husband and Wife responsibilities

A collector sent my friend a medical collection notice in the mail and thru the phone that is for her Ex-Husband. I guess the collector has been trying to collect from the Ex-Husband. He got her (my friends) information wrote a judgement in Cuyahoga Cty against her for her Ex-Husbands bill. Now just common sense would dictate that does not make sense. She never went to the dentist. Not her bill. Its her Ex-Husbands. She should not be responsible for it. He told her she was. What can she do if anything to resolve this thru the courts and this collector?

Re: Medical Bills-Husband and Wife responsibilities

She needs to refer to her divorce decree to see who's responsible for the bill. If he is, then she can sue him to cover her liability for it, and/or take him back to divorce court for contempt.
