foreclosure

i bought a house in 2003 and it is getting ready for foreclosure, i just married in june of 2008, is my husband responsible for the loan, his name is not on the loan

Even though he is a defendant in the foreclosure as your spouse, he is not responsible for the loan. They can only have a sheriffs sale after they extinguish his dower interest.
