Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma

I submitted this question on 04/06/10

Questionmy x-friend took off in her car with over $500 dollars of new merchandise that I had just bought. When I called to ask for my property, she lied and said that she had taken it to another friends house. I checked and she lied. Now she ignores my request for my property. Can I file criminal charges on her? I purchased the items with a gift card and have proof of those purchases. I also have her lying text messages on my cell phone.

You can file a police report. The police will investigate the report and then send the information to the District Attorney's Office if they think that a crime has occurred.
