Minors right to privacy in sexual assault reportings?
My children 12 and 7 were involved in a sexual assault in a local store. The assault itself as well as a photo of the attacker was all caught on video. The state police obtained the video from the store and after a day or two released it with no restrictions to the media. Two local news stations played the video from the store in its entirety including showing the faces of my children, the sexual assault itself, and even video of them running looking for help and crying. This outraged me that they were portrayed in that way on television. We live in a small town and wanted this to be a private matter. That right was taken away from my children as now we have received numerous phone calls asking if that was them on the news. The news stations never had our permission to reveal their identity. Do we have a legal leg to stand on?

You likely do. I would love to speak with you about this and you may even beable to sue the store and certainly the perps.
