Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Can I be subponed from another state for a child that paternity has already been established on for the sake of someone who thinks they are the father? The child is almost 10 years old

You can be subpoenaed from another state to act as a witness in a case. If you have received documents from an attorney or Court that you do not understand, you may want to have a consultation with an attorney to explore your options. There may be options that will not require you to travel to the Court. You may be able to submit an affidavit, testify via telephone or maybe you could do a telephone deposition. It will likely be worth the cost of the consultation with an attorney to learn your options. Good luck.
