Recieveing our settlement without lies
We had a car accident 5 months ago, we got a attorney because someone ran a red light and hit us, we were told we are getting a settlement for 25,000 dollors , we signed the release forms, and our attorney said we would have our money in a week or so, that was 3 weeks ago,how can we make sure we are not being lied to , and can we call the insurance adjuster , our attorney said the checks were mailed ,,that was over a week ago, can they lie , or not pay us,and how long can this go on?

Be patient. Insurance companies routinely lie about when they will send checks. It always takes many days longer than they promise.
Drop your lawyer a short note. Tell him you would like a current status report about when the distribution of the settlement proceeds will get to you.
Have faith. It will undoubtedly arrive, but these things will always take longer than you wish and than you think they should.
