Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can a judge appoint me managing conservator without my agreement? I am the grandmother and each parent already are conservators. He just wanted me named so I could "babysit". I don't want to be listed in courts as such.

The judge can't appoint you as anything unless you are a party in the case.
