Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Im being sue for allegedly threatening a roommates life. I have a witness that can testify to everything that happened. What steps should i take? should i contest it before it goes to court if so should i get the statement sworn in and notorized?

You should file an answer. Your answer doesn't have to be sworn (unless you raise one of the specific defenses from Rule 93 of the TRCP).

After that, you engage in pre-trial discovery.

But just between you and me, this lawsuit sounds pretty ridiculous.
