Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
My husband passed away on August 7th 2009. He did not have a will. He was employed by the USPS and I am the beneficially. He has an accout with Bof A I went to the bank with all the paperwork that I thought I needed but was told that i need to get a probate. Is this something that I can prepare myself or do I need a lawyer since all the paperwork I saw online shows that I lawyer has to prepare them.

I know that in this age of do it yourself that you would like to save the money, but I would strongly suggest that you contact a lawyer to discuss what exactly is needed. Often times there multiple ways to deal with a problem each having it's advantages and disadvantages.
