probation violation
can a probation officer violate a client for a drug obtained legally by a doctor

You won't get violated for illegal possession of drugs, but if reporting all prescribed medications to your probation officer is one of the requirements of your probation, you can get violated for not doing so. Your Rules of Probation are a contract. You agreed to them and you ought to have them tatooed somewhere. Those are the rules and the only rules. They can't make you do more but if you do any less they can bust you.
