Is Autherites a disability

I have been informed by my employer that even after submitting a Dr note stating that i have a debilitating aurtherites in my knee and should be allowd to sit as needed that they can not allow this even after they knew of my condition befor i was ever hired.can the do this or is this discrimination even though i can still do my job duties sitting.?

Do you have anything in writing to substantiate that you requested and that they denied any accommodation for your disability (arthritis)?

There are very short statute of limitations involved. You should schedule a formal consultation with a lawyer. A good means of obtaining an attorney referral is by contacting your State's bar association or your local county bar association. They probably have a web site and charge a nominal fee for the referral. Most attorneys either provide a free initial consultation, or charge a nominal fee. I would be happy to meet with you
