Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Missouri

totaled automobile

My car was flooded at work and totaled. Where I work is brand new hospital and the parking lot backed up due to poor manitence and design. Many people watched this happen and there was no attempt to get my car moved before it became flooded. My place of employment already said they would take care of my car but are now only offering me half of what I owe. All I did was come in to work my required shift and park where employees are required to park. Do I need to seek a lawyer?

Re: totaled automobile

Cars are never worth what you pay for them, --they lose a HUGE chunk of value as soon as you drive them off the lot.

So yes, it would be a good idea to get representation, because while their insurance is only willing to pay the actual value, the damage to YOU is not the actual or replacement value, but what you owe.
