Do you have to be surved for a court apperance
I found out today I lost a child support case for a increase in payment.I was never notified there
was a case,They even showed my attorney name in my records from the first court case 6 years ago.
they said he should of also be notified about the hearing,Or sent them a letter saying he was no longer my attorney..
this was a case my Ex filed for the increase it was not filed by the state.

You should immidiately file a motion to set aside the default order. You have a limited time and should contact an attorney to do this immediately. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
