I went in and they drained five liters of bile fluids and sent me home.On June 20 the same thing happened but I turned yellow from Jaundice.Doctors drained me and sent me home again! On June 27 I went to ER and was admitted.More bile fluids were drained. Two days later a stent was inserted to stop the leak. It didn't work! Doctors did find puss from infection and I was cut open to wash out abdominal cavity. The infection wa so bad they couldn't control it by then. I was skin and bones and getting worse. I decided on July 10 2007 to leave and check into a local Veterans Hospital. They installed stents several times and stopped the leak and the infection. But, my bile duct collapsed and more stents are holding it open to keep me alive. Ongoing proceedures are likely. I now have a Hernia where the doctor cut me open! Another surgery is necessary to repair that. The end is not in sight. I haven't had any luck finding help yet. I spent a yeay in bed after I was released from Hospital so I need to hur

Re: Medical Negligence

If your question is whether you have a malpractice claim, the answer will come from a medical expert, not you or I. It does sound like there was a serious problem, but you can not file suit without a doctor's opinion supporting your claim of malpractice. If you've been told that by your new treating physicians, then you may have grounds to file suit.

There is a statute of limitations barring suit unless filed within one year of the malpractice or discovery of it. Sounds like you are either past that date, or close to it. Don't delay.
