Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia
work place issues
My wife has had issues with her manager for the past year. It all culminated two weeks ago with my wife seeing her picture pasted to a dartboard in her bosses office in plain view of all including those who work for my wife. Now, management is implying the whole matter is my wife's fault and that the need to go through mediation with HR and LEGAL. They have provided my wife with legal documents for her to sign but for what reason? Is it true my wife has no recourse here???

Your questions can't be answered here, because we don't have the documents and don't know what they say. The easy answer is to have the facts and documents reviewed by a lawyer. Obviously, the company has their lawyer involved, and they have their side of the story. Otherwise, you posted insufficient information to conclude what laws may or may not apply. Generally, a boss acting like a basic jerk is not grounds for any legal action. If there is a legal issue to be pursued, she has to decide whether the job (and maybe even future jobs) are worth it.

Your wife should seek legal counsel immediately in order to discuss the matter. Unfortunately, the legislature has sided with employers to enact pro employer laws. However, depending on the situation, your wife may be protected.
