Order of protection

I am trying to get an order of protection on my ex-girlfriend who has been harrassing me for the past 9 months. We had our first appearance in court, and she asked for a continuance so she could hire an attorney to fight it. Today I was served papers by her attorney, it is a request to produce order. everything they are asking from me has nothing to do with the time I was with this woman. they want medical and mental histories on me from up to ten years ago, my criminal background, all marriages and divorces... I was with this woman for only 4 months, she got drunk and hit me in the face and caused a horrible scar about 5 inches long to the right of my nose from my eye down to my mouth. None of this information they are requesting seems like it pertains to this order of protection. All I want is for this woman to leave me alone. I was served this Request to Produce today. Today is Friday, I am supposed to have all this information for them by Monday morning....How am I to do this? Is this just a scare tactic to get me to drop the order of protection?

You do not have to respond by Monday. You're supposed to get 28 days to respond to a request for documents. (See IL Supreme Court Rule 214). Second, I don't know that such a request is proper in the context of an order of protection. Also, it doesn't sound like these items they're after are relevant. You are allowed to respond to their request in writing stating your objections. You can choose to not produce items requested but you must state a basis for why you will not produce them and it must stated in response to each document requested, not a "blanket" objection to all the requests. They will then have to go before the court and ask that you produce the documents, at which time you can explain your position to the court and let the court determine if you need to produce this stuff or not.
