If a person claims they have a will, but the will is not given to anybody, upon that persons demise, how can one find out if a will actually exists?

Re: Wills

A fax to the attorneys in the area who prepare wills or a search in the probate files are two ways to look for the will.

Re: Wills

Usually, the lawyer who prepared the will keeps a copy and lawyers will put a request through the bar to see if there is a will on file with a lawyer. Further, you can look in his papers after the purpose dies, go to the bank where the person banks to see if there is a safe deposit box with a will. Ask a spouse or relative if they have been given a copy. The person may only want people to know after they pass away.
