Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in United Kingdom

My wife has commited adultry and is threatening to leave the marital home, we have been married for 26 years but have built up debts together in this time, i currently pay 75% of money to the debt whilst my wife pays the 25%, if she leaves can i insist that she pays 50% of the debts

Much will depend upon whether this is a divorce situation. If the marriage is over it will be necessary to resolve all property and financial matters between you and the payment of debts is only one of these. It is probable that you will need to take advice on the whole situation arisoing from your wife's conduct and if we can assist with this please let us know.
