Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington
a young man and I connected in a crosswalk. I am contesting the ticket for failure to yield, because i think its his fault. I had no car insurance at the time. whats going to happen to me? I am low income senior, social security only. i am scared.

If you had no insurance, and you have no assets, I am not sure this man you hit in the crosswalk is planning on suing you anytime soon. If he does, explain to his attorney what your financial situation is, and if they still want to have a trial, you are not going to have much choice, and may have a judgment entered against you. That said, if you are a low income senior, that is unlikely, as no personal injury attorney is likely to chase you down only to have nothing from which to collect a judgment.
That's the civil aspect of the case. On the criminal side, driving without insurance is a crime, and you are likely to be ordered to pay a fine for having done so. Also, depending on your driving record, you may also have your license suspended or revoked.
