Can an employer stop payroll without notice?
My employer just e-mailed my partner and I saying that she did not authorize payroll for either of us. The e-mail was sent last night and we were to receive our checks today (8/30/00). HELP!

Hello. I suggests that you
contact your union representative, if you have a union. If not, I suggests you
write a letter to your supervisor requesting an explanation for his/her decision. If this fails, hire
a lawyer ASAP, and anticipate
filing a lawsuit.
